About two days ago I started working on my first series of bags. I wanted to create a bag that is cool, a little bit fancy and fitted for cyclists. It took me one month to learn sewing techniques and basic details about designing a bag and now, here I am!
I already knew that the day you decide to create a prototype would be a full day of work and I decided to be patient and to work peacefully on my project.
It took me seven hours to complete all the steps. It took me so long because I tried out different designs and materials, trying to find the perfect combination for the final product. It was a testing day that I enjoyed a lot.
At the end of the day I had my bag ready to wear and I proudly showed it to all the people that I met with later.
So, about the bag – It’s specially designed for cyclists: it has reflective stickers from Asphalt Freaks, it’s waterproof and it has a ‘sternum strap’ (that messenger-bag thingie to make the bag stay on your back when you cycle).
Now that I have the prototype and the feedback was good, I will start planning the future online shop where I will sell my products.
Thinking about all the experience of creating my first bag for cyclists, I realized that this will be my most expensive bag that I will ever create. It’s my first ‘real’ bag towards my goal. 🙂
